Very Nice place, we visited on April first week. The climate was awesome. We walked to this temple from the old bus station Shimla. It was like a small hike took about an hour to reach the top. The view from the hill and the midways were so adorable ♥️😍. We really enjoyed every single steps. There are paid vehicle services also there to the top, but I would recommend you to go by Walk. Definitely you will enjoy unless you are not disabled person. There is a small cable Car was there on the top. That’s a very small length of cable car the price is about 500INR on the Time i was there. The temple also provides very tasty 😋 meal for devotees. Definitely you will enjoy the Nature and peace ✌️ #should go

The reddish Hanuman statue is visible from far away. It's located at top of a hill. The road to temple(Jhaku temple) is well maintained. You have three alternatives: walking(encouraged even by Temple trustee board and challenge your fitness based on age group: see pic), local taxi(from mall to temple and back) and ropeway. Temple is well maintained and clean. But....the upper layer of the hill is dominated by monkeys! It is not a bad thing, untill people make a habit of giving food to them(some call 'prasad'). This makes some of the monkeys aggressive and mischievous and they snatch items from visitors. I got my spectacles snatched from me!!! Warning: Beware of monkeys and grab your belongings tight.

I recently visited Jakhu Hill and was thoroughly impressed with the beauty of the place. The weather was perfect and the view from the top of the hill was breathtaking. I could see the entire city of Shimla from the top and it was an incredible experience. The fresh air and peaceful atmosphere made for a perfect escape from the busy city life. Jakhu Hill also has a temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman, which is a popular pilgrimage site for Hindu devotees. According to legend, Lord Hanuman rested on this hill after his journey from the Himalayas with the Sanjeevani herb. It is said that the imprints of Lord Hanuman's feet are still visible at the temple and are considered to be sacred by many.

Jakhoo Hill in Shimla is an extraordinary destination that promises both natural beauty and spiritual serenity. As the highest point in Shimla, it offers breathtaking panoramic views of the city and the surrounding Himalayan ranges. The lush green forests and the cool, fresh mountain air make it a perfect spot for nature lovers and photographers. The main attraction on Jakhoo Hill is the Jakhoo Temple, dedicated to Lord Hanuman, featuring an impressive 108-foot tall statue that stands as a testament to the hill's spiritual significance.

Reaching Jakhoo Hill involves a steep trek, which can be challenging but rewarding for those who enjoy hiking. Alternatively, visitors can opt for a short drive to the top. One thing to watch out for is the local monkey population, which is known for being quite mischievous. Despite this minor inconvenience, the tranquil ambiance and the stunning views make Jakhoo Hill a must-visit destination in Shimla. Whether you're there for the spiritual experience, the natural beauty, or the adventure of the trek, Jakhoo Hill offers a memorable and enriching experience for...

The highest point of the city is Jakhoo Hill Shimla that is covered with Alpine trees. At the top of the flat hill is the colourful Jakhoo Temple and the newly constructed Hanuman statue. Jakhoo Hill Shimla is a favourite escape for visitors wanting peace and calm from the city far below. The walk up to the hill takes approximately 30 minutes and follows a pleasant route, just beware of the criminal minded monkeys that are waiting to rob tourist of food and shiny objects! The summit of Jakhoo Hill Shimla is 2,455m and approximately 200m higher than the central ridge of Shimla. The route to the summit follows a 2.5 km footpath with long sections of steps this walk is invigorating in the clean and crisp mountain air of spring and autumn but challenging during the...
