This is a fairly new place situated very close to the lift on the Shimla mall road.

Run by an ex-Marriott chef, the menu is great and so is the hospitality. If you appreciate food and love to try out new things, the team at Amayaa will take personal interest to ensure that your culinary experience is memorable.

In a crowded Mall Road, there are very few places where the owner (also the head chef) will speak to you personally to understand your food palette and preference.

Being a foodie, I like trying out food that I haven’t before, or ask the staff for their recommendations.

What we ordered was:-

Amayaa special vegetable dish that has a unique combination of mix veggies and lentils cooked together in gravy. It’s usual ingredients but cooked with interesting use of whole spices. Very balanced (4.5/5)

Malai Kofta (Signature Dish) A very refined version of the classic malai kofta with smooth, silky purée with kofta balls. The refined version of this classic may or may not be your ultimate preference. (4/5)

Lamb Ragu Fettuccine Pasta If you are bored of eating the regular penne and spaghetti red and white sauce pasta variants. Move onto something more authentic like this dish. Very well balanced, an acquired taste for those who want punchy sauce (Indian version of Pasta). But if you want the authentic experience then this is it (5/5)

Finally. Dessert. The Buransh and Rose Panna Cotta. I won’t describe this but will tell you that it was heavenly! One of the best desserts I have eaten in entire Shimla. I could have eaten 3 more and not gotten enough of it. (7/5)

Highly...

Went there yesterday for dinner. We were a group of six. Three adults and three children. One six-year-old child among them was autistic. He was tired after an eight-hour-long journey. His mother had earlier bought a 200ml Mirinda bottle to keep him engaged. He accidentally spilled it on the ground. We requested the manager to clean it. He clearly refused and stated that outside food are not permitted, and there was no way he could get it cleaned. I cleaned it with a paper napkin. It was clearly not food. Saw a lady feeding bottled milk to her baby on the opposite table. Technically, that too should come under outside food. Till the time the food arrived another waiter came and reminded us that outside food was not allowed and we were being monitored on cctv. The mean manager passed us often and kept eyeing us with disgust. He even came and asked my son (not autistic, 100 percent normal) to stop touching the knife and fork on the empty plate that would SCRATCH the plate. What a character!! By the time the food arrived I had lost my appetite. We quickly finished what we could and paid the bill. I lost my cool when the waiter asked me to give the resto bar a good review. I told him the that the fist tenet of hospitality is to be hospitable and of course humble. Despite all this, my friend was magnanimous enough to tip the waiter. Pathetic people in a...

If you’re in Shimla and looking for a restaurant that serves both comforting soups and mouthwatering pizza, this place on Mall Road is a must-visit!

The moment you step in, the cozy ambiance and warm hospitality set the tone for a memorable dining experience. I started with their signature soup, and it was nothing short of perfection. The flavors were rich, well-balanced, and heartwarming—just what you need in Shimla’s cool weather. Every spoonful was a delight, and it felt like a warm hug on a chilly evening.

Moving on to their pizza, it was an absolute revelation. The crust was perfectly baked—crispy on the outside and soft inside. Topped with fresh, flavorful ingredients and oozing with cheese, it was easily one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. The blend of spices and herbs added a unique touch that made it stand out from the typical offerings.

The service was prompt and friendly, and the staff ensured that we were comfortable throughout our visit. Combined with the scenic views from the restaurant, this made for an unforgettable experience.

If you’re a soup and pizza lover, don’t miss this gem on Mall Road! Highly recommended for a hearty and...

Amayaa is a breath of fresh air in the same old cafes and restaurants in Shimla ! I absolutely loved the place. The location is on the mall but just down a flight of stairs. It's easily navigable. The food is amazing. I ordered an Arrabbiata Sauce Penne Pasta and a Tiramisu. Both the items did not disappoint ! I personally think it was one of the best tiramisu's I have tasted. The pasta was asked before to me if I wanted al dente or fully cooked. I asked for al dente and al dente was what I got. So they definitely know their sauces and pastas well. We were also served breadsticks as an appetizer with an in-house tomato sauce which was so balanced in its taste. The owner, Shivansh is extremely polite and helps you with recommendations along with asking if the food is good or not. Absolutely loved that. The prices are affordable just as any other place in Shimla would offer, so absolutely worth trying the food. The washrooms are well kept and the ambience is beautiful, clean and incredibly enjoyable. Definitely recommending Amayaa's and do yourself a favour trying the Tiramisu.

Visited the place with the intent of having a dine in experience but due to time constraints had to get a chicken tikka to go and I'm glad I didn't waste my money on having a full fledged meal here. The tikkas were packed in an aluminium box with a cardboard lid which was drenched in oil and the container was leaking, for the price one atleast expects proper take away containers that don't get soaked and leak, I could've easily ignored the poor quality of service but the tikkas were horrible, removed the lid to discover that the tikkas are swimming in a pool of oil which looked soo not appetizing and on taking the first bite I could only taste salt as there was soo much of it. I called in to complaint about the same to which I received a reply that it's normal for tikkas to be salty and them be swimming in a pool of oil, Simply pathetic. P.S stop making false claims that you use food grade plastic containers for take away orders, attached is the proof of what container you use.
