Mihama-en Garden — Attraction in Chiba

A lovely place for people who want to enjoy a bit of traditional Japanese garden in the city. Location may be not so convenient to the locals but it has easy access for visitors of nearby hotels or events at Makuhari Messe.

Entrance fee is around US$3.00 for adult. It has almost a bit of everything you're supposed to find in a traditional Japanese garden. A small lake with Japanese snappers, a wood bridge, cherry, flowers...

If you have half of an hour or so, then it will be enough...

Beautiful park inside of the Makuhari Seaside Park. I've read that it's good for a visit during fall season for the leaves changing color. It has a beautiful Japanese garden. There are a couple of ponds with Koi. You can feed the koi. You need to purchase at the entrance. There are plenty of seats scattered around. Good place when you want to get away from the noise and just relax with nature. Be warned though, there are plenty of tiny flying insects that fly around in spots...
