For those unaware, this is a capsule hotel so your "room" consists of basically just a bed recessed into the wall. It is in a shared area and the only thing separating you from other people is a pull down screen. As a result, you will be able to hear other people as they walk by as well as around you. Genders are separated by floor. The staff spoke English well enough for me to check in and ask questions without issue.

The facility itself is clean and modern. The capsules have a light and power outlets in them as well as a small safe to store any valuables. You also get a locker in the locker room to store your belongings. I was able to fit my 25" luggage in there. They also provide a lot of toiletries like towels, razors, earplugs, etc. if needed. There are laundry machines to use and private shower stalls which is nice. It is located right behind Fuji Q Highland (and the Fuji Q Highland train station) so it is very convenient if you plan on going there. They do offer a small discount on park admission if you buy your ticket from them and I believe it also gets you slightly early entry into the park before it opens to the general public. There's also a Lawson basically next door.

One of the things I wasn't very fond of was the air ventilation. There was kind of a strange lingering smell throughout the locker room and capsule areas. There is a also small ventilation control in the capsules themselves but it does not serve as an air conditioner or anything so the temperature is kind of hit or miss too.

Overall, it's not a bad place to stay if you are okay with the shared environment and everything that comes with it like noise, somewhat lack of...

Of all the cheap capsules hostel i have done this is by far my favorite for it’s cleanliness, lobby (and your capsule) where you can charge your electronics, it’s near a station, grocery store not even a minute walk away and konbini next to the hostel. I felt safe with separated dorms and our own cards to get into our dorm and lockers, i was also lucky for my 4days stay that all the women were respectful, quiet and very minimal noises because it could have become problematic since there are a lot of capsules. There’s a microwave in the lobby and hot water available + a locker for your shoes at the entrance. I love the fact that we all walk no shoes so it’s really clean! Every night they give you clean shower towel + toothbrush. Also have washing machine/dryer.

ONLY DOWNSIDE for me maybe a bit small lockers and the fact that we need to leave our capsule + no access to bathroom/showers from 10am to 3pm because they clean the areas, i kinda understand that they don’t want people around it makes their job easier but like, it’s really inconvenient if you are jet lagged and need sleep or just feeling sick and need to rest… but other than that it’s a place where i would have not been sad to have booked it for a week! it’s really the 10am to 3pm that i find hard since i like to sleep in. And also the dryer doesn’t dry much, it’s 20mins a cycle and it took me 3 times for ¥100 each.

‼️**PLEASE PEOPLE BE MINDFUL OF YOUR MORNING ALARMS WAKING EVERYONE UP, take your phone with you or make sure it’s silent/no snooze cuz it will go...

Each capsule is relatively large (but I am also a small human) and the facilities were very clean and tidy. I was very satisfied overall. Women are on the first floor and there are something like 56 or 58 units. Men are on the second floor. There were face washes and lotions, as well as toiletry kits and toothbrushes available for free so no need to bring those for a short overnight stay. You can also rent pajamas for 300 yen. They weren't stylish but they got the job done. Individual showers were very clean, didn't smell funny or have mold spots. It is a nicer experience to be the first one in a shower just because it's dry, including the stone bath mat, but the water runs hot and the water pressure is good, so no complaints overall. Hairdryers, and one washing machine and one dryer is available.

Located between a convenience store (Family Mart or Lawson) and a Bamiyan Chinese family restaurant. Very short walking distance from the Fujikyu Highlands train station. About a 5km bicycle ride to the start venue of Fuji Hillclimb at Hokuroku Park. Also a good base for cyclists, generally.

There is a little corner for eating with a microwave and hot water pot but it can get crowded easily. Small sectioned off overflow conference type room is...

I wanted to give a pod a try. And it's hard to beat AUD$50 a night accommodation. You walk in, put your shoes in a locker, go upstairs to either the male or female floors, and put your luggage in another locker. Except that mine didn't fit, so I just kept the next days stuff in there, plus my valuables, and left the rest in the car. Then you enter the pod chambers. The bathroom/ toilets are off there too. The pods aren't too bad. I'm 6'3" and I wasn't cramped for space. The pillows could have been fatter. I needed to fold mine in half. In your pod there's a power point, a ventilation fan, and lights. The door (which is just a roller blind) does little to stifle the sounds of people snoring or giving themselves a goodnight tickle (I kid you not, I heard that the first night for about 10 minutes). But that's part of the charm of such accommodation and it was somewhat expected. Hard to argue about what you get for the price. People complain about having to leave from 10-3 each day, but if you're out adventuring like I was, it never matters.
