Read moreThis is one of the alternative routes to see Mt. Fuji, usually not as crowded as the most known are, although I feel that's changing based on my last visits. The access is easy from Kawaguchiko Station, by Red Line bus, but depending on the day the lines are big. Not the closest view, but still beautiful because of the lake bed, flowers and trees on the area which change depending on the season. The Natural Living Center has many blueberry flavored food items for sale (I especially liked the mochi) and some souvenir items related to Mt. Fuji. A bit pricey, but they have good quality. Such a shame as these unclean facilities really let this beautiful place down. They need to be properly cleaned and sanitised at least...
