I have really enjoyed eating at this humble family run Japanese restaurant (i have visited 3 times). The dishes that I have had I've been lovely I've had the salmon twice, fried chicken, pork cutlet and terriaki chicken skewers.. along with some plum wine.
The prices are really reasonable the food is cooked well and the staff have been nothing but sweet, accomodating and lovely. No shade to the wagu place next door but this place totally trumps it.
I think some of these reviews are quite unfair and my assumption is that most people haven't bothered to use Google translate to communicate their needs as on one occasion I was able to reduce the size of my meal as i wasnt hungry.
One suggestion would be amazing if you could order small portions of katsu curry sauce and sweet and sour sauce so you could dip your fried items in them.
Side note I'm staying at a five-star resort locally and I would say this place tops the selection that I have available to me at my hotel especially when you aren't...

Let's be honest: it's probably not the best you will find in Japan, but it is not worth a bad review! We were not here during peak hours and got served within minutes. We took one curry udon and tantanmen ramen, both ok (total ¥1958) Waitress was polite (not the most friendly, but I was not here to make friends with her, just to have some nice hot food). Considering it's a tourist place and the fact that this is the only restaurant around, it is...
Read moreTo be honest everything except Hoto taste good and the price here is reasonable. However, service here is another story. As we took our seat, customers at another table complained that their food was not served after long wait. The waitress immediately yelled at them that she was too busy to take care of everyone. We were frightened! It was eye opening since I never saw this kind of things happened in Japan! So after that everyone at our table didn't ask any question about menu and just ordered food as fast as we can. Because we were afraid that she...
