🏨 Japanese Inn by Mt. Fuji 🏨
The location is excellent — right by the lake, easy to reach by bus, or just a 13-minute taxi from the Kawaguchiko station.
🛏️ Rooms | Washitsu The rooms are traditional washitsu style with tatami flooring, low furniture, and futons. They were cozy and comfortable, with plenty of natural sunlight during the day and thick curtains to block it out if you wanted to sleep in.
🛁 Private Onsen A highlight of the stay was the private onsen, which you can reserve for your group (1 hour per day). It included a cold plunge, private showers with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, and a changing area. The experience was easy to arrange with the staff.
🙋 Staff The staff was friendly, responsive, and incredibly helpful. They also helped us map the most efficient route to travel from one city in Japan to another, which made our trip much smoother.
☕ Lobby The lobby was a surprise highlight. It had a stylish setup with a great sound system playing music, espresso machine, a microwave, toiletries, and my favorite — huge windows filling the space with natural light. It felt warm and inviting every time we came through.
🌟 Overall, this was an excellent stay. The authentic washitsu room, relaxing private onsen, and outstanding staff made it truly memorable. I would definitely stay here again when...
