I stayed at the TOEI hotel for two nights from May 4th through May 6th before staying an extra 4 nights at the WBF Tennjin. The Hotel is super easy to find and extremely well located only a couple of minutes away from the Subway station. You can walk from the hotel to Tennjin or Hakata but if you plan to go further, you need to buy a day ticket @ ¥620. Room was tiny small, certainly around 6/8 sq meters. Not much room to unpack. Bathroom was small but functional. ||a) The Front desk: friendly people, warm welcome, free coffee from 3pm onwards.||b) Room: as said, very small and windows that didn't open. Walls extremely thin and I could hear virtually all the neigbhours conversations. I had room 510 and room 511 was occupied by a couple from some South Asian country ( Thailand maybe) that were extremelmy noisy from 11pm to almost 1 am. I had to ask them to speak lower and turn down TV because it was so fckn loud. Very unpleasant people acting as if they were alone in that hotel. I told them to silence or I would refer to the Hotel management. It helped somehow but second night was almost the same. Well, I was tired for seconds.||c) breakfast: good brekkie, Japanese style with some western foods. Good coffee . Nothing to complain about.||||The stay was OK but I would not come back because of the size of the rooms. Too small. Price was reasonnable ( € 125,-...

Read moreThere were a few issues with this hotel that dragged the rating to somewhat below average.||||On the plus side, the room was quite large, the included buffet breakfast was of reasonable quality and the overall service was adequate.||||However, the room was quite dated with one of the oldest model bidet toilets we’ve ever seen in Japan. The fridge was equally as old and the bathroom fit out was old formica. The towels were very thin. The biggest issue from an aesthetics perspective was the quite large tears in the curtains (see photos). Frankly, that sort of thing is unacceptable in any hotel as it shows apathy towards maintaining a certain standard. It is not something that is easily missed by maintenance/cleaning/management. It is something that one expects from a 2 star motel.||||Lastly, a request for an iron and board was not actioned.||||We got a flash sale rate of around A$125 per night so it was ok value for Fukuoka (which is quite expensive for hotels), but the regular rate would not be worth it at all. Combined with the awkward location, we would suggest looking elsewhere for a better...
