Our family of four happened upon this place on our last night in Japan, and it was probably the most memorable night of the trip. The chef (owner?) welcomed us in and sat us at the counter, and gave us a Japanese-only menu. Just as I was about to ask for a suggestion, he beckoned our two sons outside, where he dressed them in robes and headbands. We thought that was a neat way to eat dinner, but he had other ideas. He ushered them into the kitchen, and led them as they learned to cook our dinner! The boys had a wonderful time, the okonomiyaki was delicious, and he even gave the kids a little parting gift, and bade us a warm farewell. When he noticed it was raining, he even gave us umbrellas!
