Visiting Fukuyama Castle was a great experience for my wife and me. We came across the castle when we decided to walk around Fukuyama Station before heading back to Osaka. Compared to Osaka Castle, which was also an outstanding sight, this castle was not full of tourists and was nearly empty. This provided us with the opportunity to take an endless number of pictures. The area was beautiful and very clean. We spent hours admiring the beauty of the castle and the surrounding area. There is a rest area near the castle that is adorned with beautiful roses and flowers. Fukuyama Station has a lot of beauty around it. Read moreThe castle/museum: The castle tour/museum was 500¥ which was affordable to me. Had some cool simulators to play on the upper floors for both kids and adults. Lots of history. Not allowed to take photos for obvious reasons in certain parts. The view from the top was nice along with a good breeze. Pleasant weather made it nice. 5 floors, lots of stairs for those with good knees, elevator for those without. Nice view of fukuyama from the top floor.
