Fukuyama Castle Park — Attraction in Fukuyama

Visiting Fukuyama Castle was a great experience for my wife and me. We came across the castle when we decided to walk around Fukuyama Station before heading back to Osaka. Compared to Osaka Castle, which was also an outstanding sight, this castle was not full of tourists and was nearly empty. This provided us with the opportunity to take an endless number of pictures. The area was beautiful and very clean. We spent hours admiring the beauty of the castle and the surrounding area. There is a rest area near the castle that is adorned with beautiful roses and flowers. Fukuyama Station has a lot of beauty around it. The castle/museum: The castle tour/museum was 500¥ which was affordable to me. Had some cool simulators to play on the upper floors for both kids and adults. Lots of history. Not allowed to take photos for obvious reasons in certain parts. The view from the top was nice along with a good breeze. Pleasant weather made it nice. 5 floors, lots of stairs for those with good knees, elevator for those without. Nice view of fukuyama from the top floor.

Fukuyama Castle park is basically the park area which surrounds the castle. It is usually free to enter and is a nice green space just a few minutes walk from the north exit of Fukuyama train station. There are toilets here and since the castle has recently been renovated the walking paths are in good condition. Currently until January 29th 2023 there is a teamLab exhibition in the park, mainly in front of the castle. This costs ¥1500.
