Vega Suites (by Vega Hakuba GK) — Attraction in Hakuba

We had a delightful stay at Vega suites. The lodge was brand new and it was quite evident that David had a meticulous eye for detail when it came to design and utility for the self contained flats. Everything that guests may need was available, with clear English user guides. We particularly appreciated having access to a brand new washer/ dryer which helped manage the unfortunate wet weather days at the snow. The flat is equipped with a functional kitchen, complete with Joseph Joseph knife sets and cooking condiments. Wifi connectivity + Aircon/ heating was perfect. It made the flats a sanctuary to come home to after a long day at the slopes. Location is as good as it can get, only a short stroll to the Main Street of restaurants/ shuttle busses.

The host, David, is kind and beyond thoughtful. Quickest responses we’ve seen from AirBnb hosts, ever. We got stranded on the snow on our last day when it was raining and hence wanted to leave Hakuba early, David spent probably close to an hour of his own time trying to arrange transport for us as we had data only sims and couldn’t make local calls. When that failed, he came and picked us up himself and dropped us to the station. We are so grateful for David’s hospitality during our stay.

We would definitely come back and stay again, and would recommend this to all of our friends/...

From the moment we arrived at Vega Suites in the charming Echoland of Hakuba, Japan, it was clear we were in for a treat. Owned by the hospitable David and his lovely family, Vega Suites isn't just a place to stay; it's a delightful experience.

Nestled in a quiet and serene spot, and very close to the bustling main street of Echoland, the location of Vega Suites is unbeatable. Whether you're here to hit the slopes or explore the valley, you're perfectly positioned.

Our suite was incredibly cosy. We stayed there for 4-5 nights. The suites included large western style shower, and a well-equipped kitchenette, including a washing machine and dryer which was a thoughtful touch, especially for longer stays.

But what truly set Vega Suites apart was the warmth and dedication of the staff. David and his family are exceptional - friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. Not to mention the Kouki's cocktail skills in the newly opened lounge bar deserves a special mention.

Returned to Nagano after 30 years and stumbled across an incredible place to stay in Hakuba. Vega Suites had only recently opened but we were drawn to the central location - an easy bus/drive to each of the resorts on offer in Hakuba, but more importantly walking distance to the main street, where we could find ski hire, shops, restaurants and bars. The Suites themselves had lots of natural daylight, were very generous in size, finished to an incredibly high standard and included many thoughtful details. Vega Bar is located in a communal lounge / bar area onsite and has one of the best Japanese Whisky selections in Hakuba! The lounge is fantastic, with tables downstairs overlooking the snowy surrounds and comfortable lounges upstairs...we made great use of the lounge but thought it would also be the perfect set-up for groups staying across a number of the suites, providing a communal area to get-together.
