TAKIO GuestHouse — Attraction in Higashiosaka

The best guest house in all of Japan. Beautiful and quiet surroundings, not too far from the center of Osaka, about 20 minutes by train. The house has a true Japanese atmosphere with a common area for talking, cooking, and relaxing. For those needing more privacy, there are self-sufficient rooms available with their own kitchen and bathroom. An invaluable and surprisingly under-advertised aspect is the hospitality of the host. His approach to each guest is amazing. He organizes communal food events, morning mountain walks, visits to local restaurants and temples, and trips to public baths and onsens, including my favorite, the new, very relaxing, quite large onsen complex, Sauna Kukka, where you can spend the whole day healing your body and soul. Every day brings something different, even more interesting than the previous day. If you don’t have your own plans, it’s no problem, you can't get bored there. I spent 2.5 months in this place and am already planning my return next year. One of the best places to experience Japanese culture up close, from its local side. A very ZEN place. Vibes...

Takio guesthouse in Osaka! It's the perfect place for exploring the real downtown area of Osaka.

The guesthouse is surrounded by a large park(Hanazono Central Park), a rugby stadium(Hanazono rugby stadium), and a variety of restaurants, so there's plenty to do and see nearby.

You can also have a unique experience by participating in vegetable harvesting at the owner's farm or engaging in cultural activities.

The prices are affordable, making it suitable for long-term stays as well. The rooms have a traditional Japanese atmosphere, creating a cozy environment for your stay.

The owner is very friendly and accommodating, so you can feel at ease during your stay.

We stayed 9 nights in makoto's guesthouse, and it was a pleasure. He drew us a map of the surroundings, which was very practical to find food and other things.

There are always other people in his guesthouse, coming from all over the world, so if you like exchanging with other travelers, it's a very good place.

It's right in the middle between Ōsaka and Nara, so good place if you want to visit those cities.

Makoto was always there when needed. For example he helped us by calling a japanese customer service about our next hotel reservation.
