うるわしき桜貝ひとつ 去り行ける君にささげん

平塚海岸へは幾度となく来ています。渚の散策のため。 国道にかかる陸橋の傍にある、防砂林を縦断する道を歩くと砂丘へ着く。すぐにビーチバレーが目にはいる。観ると暑苦しく感じるので観ないようにしている。裸のスポーツはボクシングだけでたくさんだ。 軽食の店が一軒ある。トイレと洗い場もある。 西に富士山、西南に伊豆半島、東に三浦半島が見える。 空にはカモメはいないが、猛禽類が旋回していることがある。 渚から100mほど先の海中に波消しブロックが多数積まれている。これを放り込んだ役所は、鳥がとまり、草木が茂る島になることを目論んでいる。けれども、未だに殺風景なブロックのままだ。このブロックなからましかばと覚えしか。 渚に立ち、寄せては返す大波小波をしばし見ていると、少し頭が清められるようだ。 この渚には、カニなどの小さな生き物はいない。いれば楽しいのだが。 それでも、打ち上げられ、砂に埋もれた上品なピンク色をした桜貝ひとつ拾い上げた時は...
