Old Ota Elementary School — Attraction in Iga

The oldest still-standing school in Mie prefecture! Local preservationists have gathered many artifacts to document this unique school. Step into the past with many hands-on activities, books, and a recreation of an old classroom. Upstairs documents the changing instructional methods and school organization over time. Understandably, none of the materials are documented in English. ここは訪れるべき素晴らしい施設です まず、明治期に建てられた洋風建築という点 そして、なぜ洋風建築が明治期の小学校に選ばれたのか、という研究がパネル展示されている点、養蚕地に洋風建築の学校が多い、という観察がされている点 特に、学校制度について詳しく研究がされていて、そのパネル展示が興味深い内容で展示されている点です

他には、小田小学校の歴代の卒表写真が展示されていたり、授業で使われた道具や、生徒が使用した記章などが展示されている点 更に、触って鳴らせる楽器の数々、、、どれも特筆もの

木々の生い茂る外観も去ることながら、西側に対して少し高台にある立地からの景色、、、とにかくロケーションが素晴らしかったです

映画なんかにも使われそうな感じですが、調べても履歴がないんですよね 映画用ロケーションの登録みたいなのはされているようですが、内部はあの所狭しと並べられた展示物がありますからね 撮影とかは難しそうだな、という印象

でもすごくいいんですよ 門から臨む雰囲気も、ポーチの上にバルコニーがある佇まいも、三階部分にある太鼓櫓も、、、

駐車場は案内が出ていますが、付近の道はたいへん狭いです 上野公園の駐車場（600円/1日）に停めて、上野城、旧崇広堂（藩校跡）、城下町、菅原神社などをセットで散策されるのをお勧めします

あと特筆点は、真夏に行きましたが、館内がとっても涼しいことです！！　ゆっくりじっくり見学して、ダラダラの汗が気持ちよくひいて...
