Kobe International Conference Center — Attraction in Kobe

I had the opportunity to visit the Kobe International Conference Center a few years ago to attend the FAOPS Conference, where I also facilitated a pre-conference teaching workshop. The experience was outstanding.

The venue is modern, spacious, and well-equipped for academic events. Its location on Port Island offers easy access from both Kobe Airport and the Shinkansen line, making it very convenient for international delegates.

The staff was professional, and the facilities—including the AV setup, breakout rooms, and signage—were well-managed. The environment was conducive to both formal presentations and interactive workshops.

One of the most impressive aspects is how well-connected the facility is to all major stations in Kobe City and the airport. The center is directly linked to the Port Liner monorail, making it extremely easy for participants to commute to and from the city center and beyond.
