Komaki City History Museum — Attraction in Komaki

This is a nice museum inside a reconstruction of a castle. If you don't read Japanese it would be better to read up or have material as you go through. Nice displays of local artifacts from the Jomon to Edo periods. Although the castle doesn't really offer many vantage points for nice photos, and it's a reconstruction of (apparently) NOT Oda Nobunaga's revolutionary designs, it is still a nice museum. Easily accessible and easy to explore typical Japanese medieval castle. The park/ walk around the hill is superb in the spring with the blossomed sakuras. The climb up the hill is a good exercise and the entrance fee is super low (Y 100) however the castle itself is very small yet representative of the times. Not many people around, usually locals...

There is an information Center at the bottom of the mountain and a history museum at the top

You can get the “100 Castles of Japan” stamp at both places.

Honestly, one of the best experiences as a tourist as there are many interactive displays in English subtitles as well.

Highly recommended, but do beware of a short trek! Wear long pants...
