The Anpanman Children’s Museum in Nagoya is located within the Nagashima Resort area, which also includes an amusement park and a factory outlet mall, making it a convenient spot for a day trip.
The admission fee for the museum is the same for both adults and children, and it’s on the pricier side, especially considering that the attractions are mainly aimed at younger children. Inside, you’ll find numerous Anpanman-themed shops and restaurants, all colorfully decorated and appealing to fans of the popular character. There are several small rides and play areas designed specifically for preschool-aged children or those under primary school age. Families with older kids might find this destination less engaging and could consider skipping it.
Throughout the day, there are various shows and performances featuring Anpanman characters. However, it’s worth noting that one of the indoor shows requires an additional ticket, and it’s primarily targeted at local Japanese children who are familiar with the cartoon and can sing along to the songs.
One of the highlights is the bakery inside the museum, which sells adorable Anpanman-themed bread and pastries. They’re beautifully crafted, quite tasty, and definitely worth trying, although the prices are a bit high.
Overall, the Anpanman Children’s Museum is a delightful spot for young Anpanman fans and their families, but it may not be the best value or the most suitable attraction for families with...
Read moreIf you are a fan of rollercoasters, and have some cash to spare, then head to Nagoya. Shinkansen (Bullet Train) tickets will be the heaviest fee. But reaching Nagoya early is your Best bet. There is a bus on the 4th floor of the bus station that heads there directly. (YOU HAVE TO GO TO THE THIRD FLOOR FIRST, THEN YOU ACCESS THE FOURTH). Its a long but smooth 45m or so, but then the park is worth it.
There are a ton of rides, similar to some you have seen/rode on other places in Japan. If you like FujiQ, they got a ride for you, if you like Universal Studios, they have something for you. This is Rollercoasters Haven, no Experience Rides/Attractions with 3D glasses.
The only thing to be warry of is the older rides are head-jaring. You might get a headache from it.
Food-wise...Vegans..sorry. French fries are about it, but there's a 7-11 at the entrance with more variety. You can bring things into the park.
Dress well,...
Read moreThe kids just can't get enough of this place! (3 and 5yr old) Even though there isn't THAT much to play with compared to the likes of Disneyland, it seems they could spend the whole day here just running around doing their stuff. The bakery is always a delight but my favourite is the anpanman castella from the restaurant. We were there in time for a show and I must say, you have to catch the show where all the characters come out to sing and dance! The best part of this place is the outlet is right next door as well as the hot springs and water Park and tons of restaurants. You could literally spend a whole...
