An oddly interesting museum in the coastal town where Japan's Coast Guard members receive their training. It has a showcase of famous historical buildings from around the world that used brick as a primary building material (with samples); well-known structures within Japan; and a collection of bricks from historical event structures like the Berlin wall, Auschwitz, Philadelphia Hall, etc. Better than we expected. Unusual little find. We are from Portsmouth which is twinned with Maizuru as we donated a brick from Portsmouth Historic Dockyard. As we were in the area, we though it fitting to go and find this brick.
