白骨温泉に立ち寄った際、案内所で貰った地図に「天然記念物」の文字があったのでついでに訪問。丘の入り口付近に説明看板があったのでそれらしき場所はわかりましたが、一見するとただの森の様な場所なので見るべきか？と問われたら否と答えるでしょう。学術的に価値のあるものだとは思うのですが、、、

あの割れ目にお湯が流れていたのか？吹き出ていたのか？よくわからなかった。歩道などは整備されているが、鬱蒼としていて少し怖い。学術的、地学的に貴重なのかもしれないが一般には重要性や貴重性が伝わってこなかったのが残念。
