Sirafuneso Shintaku Ryokan — Local services in Matsumoto

When we were making the booking we asked the hotel if they provide food without fish for me since I’ve got fish allergies, they said yes, and they ll be able to accommodate my request. Checked in for dinner, and it was fish. When asked for assistance from the staff, they said “sorry, we cannot change it now”. But Luckily they had beef steak on Ala carte, Explained again that I’ve got fish allergies and to provide me something else in the morning for breakfast. But noooooo… they served fish again. It really is worth staying the night and having dinner. Outstanding service and a meal with all the traditional dishes of the area. A little too much food, actually! The menu is set and they Try to explain everything. The onsen are amazing, one of the hottest I've been with separate genders having indoor and outdoor baths each. The rooms are big and the futons very comfortable.Yuko is an amazing host. They carry your bags , explain everything with great effort in trying English. Amazing place, onsen, staff, and food. I would recommend a visit to this Ryokan, especially in winter when it is snowing.

We picked this Ryokan because we wanted to see snow whilst being able to relax in an outside onsen, and we were not disappointed! We came with high expectations, but this place exceeded them!

The welcome bus from Matsumoto station was convenient, but people with a lot of luggage or long legs may struggle. (Although you could probably keep unnecessary luggage at the station overnight)

The outside onsen was absolutely amazing, although there was a short walk from the inside bath to get there in the freezing cold (only adding to fun of the experience in my opinion!). The natural hot water is an amazing cloudy colour, but it does come with the downside of having an incredibly eggy smell from the sulphur!

There was dinner and breakfast provided, both of which were incredible! There was nothing that wasn’t beautifully prepared or tasty, and the staff were super friendly.

The room was spacious, and had a great view of the valley, and came with adjustable heating setting (strength of the heating, not the temperature).

雪を見ながら露天風呂でリラックスしたいと思い、この旅館を選びました。 高い期待を持って来ましたが、その期待の以上で、素晴らしい体験ができました！

松本駅からの送迎バスは便利でした！

露天風呂は本当に素晴らしかったです！ ただ、大浴場から露天風呂までは極寒の中を少し歩く必要があります（これが逆に楽しい体験だと思いました！）。 天然の温泉は濁り湯で本当に凄かったですが、硫黄の影響でかなり卵臭いがありました！

夕食と朝食が提供されましたが、どちらもとても美味かったです！...
