Aichi Industry & Labor Center (WINC AICHI) — Attraction in Nagoya

The venue is clean and well maintained, and there are some nice restaurants in the basement. However, this building only has six elevators and no escalator. The wait for the elevators was about 5 minutes. The only stairs that were available were the emergency stairs, but everyone was using them because the elevators took so long. The conference I attended used the main hall on the third floor for plenary presentations, and the rest of the presentations were on the 8th to the 12th floors. It was a real ordeal to get down to the third floor. Also, when the plenary presentations let out, it was a nightmare to get back up to the 8th floor. Additionally, there was no food on the upper floors, so if you needed a snack, you had to go all the way back down to the first floor. Overall, this venue is not convenient to use. I'll think twice before going to another conference...

A decent sized convention center / meeting space, it is close to Nagoya station and is surrounded by restaurants.
