after read some reviews about how small the room is, i didn't expect much, i even consider to cancel my booking and move to bigger hotel. but in the end i choose to book twin room which is slightly bigger than the basic one in this hotel because of the location. to my surprise, the room is not as small as i thought, it is compact but we family of 3 (2adult,1 pre-k) still able to move and sleep comfortably in this room. 2 medium luggage not possible to spread open, but the room have enough space to put our things. ||location near station, around 5-10min walk on ground level. not recommend to reach this hotel via underground if traveling with luggages, it's so confusing to navigate and most of the exit have lots of stair. Better exit from ground level, then cross the road in front of takashimaya, walk straight around 5 minute, just look for ichiran signage, the hotel is next to this famous ramen place.||overall, we enjoy our stay in this hotel, and this would be our choice again for...
Read moreGreat location near Nagoya Shinkansen/Subway Station. For big luggages, walk on the main roads to get to the hotel. The entrance/exit U6/U8 from the underground Unimall are only accessible by stairs, not good with big luggages. Food options in the surrounding areas are plenty but challenging during peak lunch and dinner time without advance reservations. Our Twin Room size is so small for 2 pax and 2 big luggages. Our room looks like a postwar situation. The bathroom is very nice though. Towels are replaced daily by hanging outside our room door, but room makeup is done every 3rd day. The room lighting is very dim, doing morning makeup is a challenge. Air-conditioning is pre-set based on seasons. Might be too warm for people who are used to sleeping in cooler temperature. The hotel lobby is very nice and cozy. Free coffee in the lobby for guests. Bathroom toiletries are self collected like buffet style next to coffee machine. Everything is fine except...
Read moreLocation is great- literally outside of exit 6 (unimall). Very close to station and all the shops and restaurants. There's a 24 hour Ichiran downstairs :) . They have all the toiletries, located in foyer, just help yourself to what you need from the cart. Also a coffee machine with real beans! Staff are friendly and speak good English! The lobby is a lovely place to just sit and relax. Rooms are a little small but that's typical Japan. Windows small and can't see out so don't expect views. Rooms are clean though. There's no cleaning until the 4th night (we left by the 3rd night), and they hang fresh towels, tea/coffee, water in a bag on your handle early every morning and you have to put your dirty towels in the bag and leave garbage outside. I don't mind this. Room is small, not much to clean anyway and I like the idea of no one coming in. There's no safe in here. Hotel is also quite affordable too, and well priced! One more thing, wifi...
