Having stayed at the Hinode in Osaka before, we knew what to expect from this chain. After our stay here, however, we found that the experience was even better than in Osaka. The location is superb, situated towards the end of Kokusaidori, which gives it a bit more peace and quiet while still being close to the action. Rooms are medium-sized and compact, but they don't feel too cramped, providing a comfortable space to relax. One of the major selling points of this hotel is the open bar, offering drinks (including alcohol), ice cream, and even night ramen. It quickly became a popular spot for families. We stayed for two nights, and the dining area was packed every evening. It can get a bit chaotic with kids enjoying sugar highs and adults indulging in free beers, but it creates a fun, lively atmosphere that added to the experience. Breakfast was also great, with the salad section standing out as particularly impressive. A downside to our stay was the lack of parking spaces. We were unable to park at the hotel because it was full, so we had to find a paid parking spot nearby. Thankfully, there was a lot just a couple of minutes away, so it wasn't too much of an inconvenience. If you're looking for a quiet stay with no kids, please look elsewhere, as this hotel tends to attract families, especially during meal times. All in all, this hotel offered a wonderful stay with excellent amenities, a fantastic location, and a fun atmosphere that made it a...
Read moreMy friends and I stayed here in May of 2023. The hotel is modern and very clean. The rooms are very comfortable with all the traditional things like tatami mats for the room floors and very nice toiletries.
The free adult beverages for most of the day are very generous and there is a huge variety to choose from. The breakfast buffet will leave you full until dinner and there is a great variety of food for almost any pallet. The sushi offered with breakfast is a treat that was unexpected.
The evening snack was ramen prepared with different styles of broth like soy sauce, salt, miso, and pork. I loved the soy sauce broth. The only downside to the ramen is the crowd was so large that they may run out before they can serve everyone. I waited one evening for about 30 minutes in line, but they ran out before I was able to get my serving.
The hotel staff was very accommodating and there was always someone who spoke English on staff to help this non-Japanese speaker with any concern. They even had a hair straightener iron for one of our friends who needed one.
The outdoor hot tubs are really relaxing and a nice retreat from lots of walking during the day.
If I could give this place 6 stars I would. I highly recommend it and when I return one day, I will definitely...
Read moreHighly recommend this hotel. Location is walking distance to Yui rail and the busy Kokusai shopping district. Our double room is a little small but enough for two people. It's a tall building and I love the nice city view. The hotel is pretty new. I really like the modern decor. Oh, I love the walk-in shower. It was big. I wish my shower is like that.
I can't say enough good things about the staff. Check in was great. The staff was super attentive during the breakfast and evening meal. It was overrun with people, but staff worked very hard to replenish the food and keep the place clean and organized. Furthermore, I spilled orange juice onto the table one time. The staff not only helped me to clean up, she also handed me a wet towel to clean my hands. I was so genuinely surprised by their customer care.
I rented a car from Times rental that was conveniently nearby the hotel. We parked the rental car at the hotel for 1500 yen per night. The staff was efficient when helping me to get in and out.
The breakfast included in our rates was awesome. There was a variety of Japanese and Western foods. The sushi bento box was delicious.
The hotel stay was a highlight of our trip to this...
