This is definitely not a 5 star hotel although it tries to look like one. The rooms actually nice considering what I paid atleast although the walls are quite dirty with various marks and stuff left by previous guests. Unlike other reviews said the rooms are quite spacious by Japanese standards and overall I would be perfectly happy with the room but there’s multiple issues that really left sour taste in my mouth. Don’t make same mistake as me when booking, The pool is not free to guest and is paid. When I booked it through hotels.com, they have failed to mention that the pool is actually not included in price and is separate fee. The work hours of pool is also abysmal (8 am to 6 pm) and is also limited to 20 guest at any time. Again, on website last I checked the working hours were set to 8am - 8 pm . If you’re here on leisure, paying a fee (which is quite high) doesn’t make sense at all since most likely you would be spending time in beaches or out in the city and by time you’re back, it’s already closed or near closing and you also cannot use the pool before you check in or check out so if you’re here on short stay, the pool is useless, and the 20 people limit will also mostly prevent you from accessing it in first place. 2.The WiFi is absolute trash. “5 star” hotel and this is the WiFi they provide? It’s literally the slowest one I have ever encountered yet and I stayed in Apa hotels, and various other country hotels (most are cheap ones) and they provide better WiFi than this . The hair dryer they provided is broken . 5 star hotel btw. The TV. This is 2025 and again, even the cheapest of barrel (apa) provides some sort of connectivity to your tv (although apa hotels implementation of that is awful, atleast it’s possible) over here there’s a TV that plays…. Only tv stations. There’s no UI, no Netflix, Disney+ or screening possibilities. Hell i stayed in JR blossom down the road which is like what 3 star hotel and they had the whole suite of connecting phone or your video apps to your tv or anything. At worst they could have added some android stick to a hdmi port or anything, but no, so if you want to use their tv, be sure to bring something with hdmi. Reminder 5 star hotel.
The breakfast is meh, although I appreciate big selection.
Honestly if you expecting 5 star treatment here, look elsewhere. The room actually is nice (aside from dirty walls), there are some dust bunnies behind beds etc. if you look , but overall , the only reason I’m giving 3 stars is because for the price that I got atleast, it is fine, however if you paying a bit more and expecting something more,...
Read moreExcellent value for the location! The markets, bars, and restaurants are within 5 minutes walking distance. This is a traditional Japanese hotel so do not expect American TV stations, large closets, etc. The rooms are plenty big unless you packed like a typical American with multiple jumbo suitcases. I got a room with twin beds for me and my brother with a carry-on and 1 suitcase which was fine. We got the cheapest room at $72/night so I was very happy with the accommodations which I would never get in the US with the same level hotel. The rooms are very clean and the staff go out of their way to be helpful. The front desk always found me somebody who spoke English and did not make fun of my horrible attempts at speaking Japanese:). The breakfast buffet had a wide variety which should suit any foreigner unless they are just looking for something to complain about. There is a charge to use the pool, but I rather have the discounted rates because I do not use a pool most of the time. (It's a reasonable charge of about 9 dollars if you want to use the pool). The housekeepers also went out of their way to switch my room from heat to air conditioning, but I found that when they simply unlocked my window, it was sufficient. It is cool in Okinawa this time of year, similar to fall weather in the US. It does not snow here, only around 50 degrees at night, 70's during the day so you will need a light jacket. I think my room was warm because I was on the side that faced the sun. For the price, location, cleanliness, included breakfast, you...
Read moreI was expecting a 5-star experience based on the hotel's description, but it felt more like a 3-star stay. The room was relatively spacious by Japanese standards and had plenty of floor space for luggage, but the layout was awkward — the bed was pushed up against the wall, and the bathroom was the smallest I encountered during my trip to Japan. It felt like more space could have been allocated to the bathroom for better comfort. The pool area was quite small, and I was surprised to find there was an extra charge to use it, especially considering the already high room rate. That said, the view from the pool was lovely. The location was convenient, close to the monorail and Naha’s main area. Breakfast required booking a time slot, which wasn't a big issue, and there was a wide variety of Asian options. However, the Western breakfast offerings were limited and not particularly appealing. Overall, not quite the luxury experience I was expecting, but there were...
