I visited Sushi Class and had an amazing experience . I actually made the sushi myself! From preparing the rice and slicing the fish properly to assembling the rolls, everything was hands-on and guided by a professional and patient Daigo sensei.

What made it even more special was the cultural insight. They explained the differences between sushi styles from the Kanto (Tokyo) and Kansai (Kyoto) regions — something you rarely hear outside of Japan.

I was also pleasantly surprised to see halal-friendly options and vegetarian dishes on the menu — a thoughtful touch that makes the place inclusive for everyone.

To top it all off, we ended the lunch with a warm, flavorful bowl of udon — the perfect way to finish a delicious and educational dinner.

Highly recommend this place — whether you’re a sushi lover or simply curious to try making...

A Fantastic Sushi-Making Experience! This was such a wonderful and memorable sushi school experience! The instructors were incredibly energetic and enthusiastic, guiding us patiently and thoroughly through each step of the sushi-making process. The atmosphere was fun, relaxed, and full of positive vibes.

Not only did we get to taste the sushi we made ourselves, but the instructors also prepared delicious udon noodles and tempura for us — such a thoughtful touch that made the experience even more special!

Special thanks to Kozu! She was so lively and passionate, making the whole class feel welcomed and engaged. Thank you so much for your energy and guidance!

We even got to bring home a certificate at the end — a perfect way to remember this amazing experience. Highly recommend this class to anyone wanting to dive into Japanese...

🍣✨ Make Your Own Sushi in Nara! Just 10 minutes from Shin-Omiya Station, Umemori Sushi School is a must-visit experience in Kansai. You’ll make 8 sushi pieces, wear a happi coat, and even shout “Rasshai!” like a real chef. 🌸

We were warmly welcomed by Daigo-sensei, who showed us how to prepare sushi rice, cut fish, and shared interesting stories and sushi history. It was both fun and educational—not just making sushi, but enjoying every bite we created. 🍵🍣

✅ English-friendly ✅ Kid-friendly ✅ Halal, vegan & allergy-friendly options ✅ Certificate to take home ✅ Reservation required

Perfect for families, friends, or anyone looking for a unique cultural experience in Nara. If you’re visiting Kansai, don’t...
