I am writing to formally report an unpleasant incident that occurred during my recent visit to your 2nd STREET store located in [City/Area] on [30/8/2025] at around [7pm]. I was accompanied by my wife and children, as we were looking to purchase a robot cleaning device.
As a foreign visitor in Japan, I was carefully checking several units to ensure they function properly and are clean before making a purchase, since I cannot easily return to Japan to exchange or return an item later.
Unfortunately, the store manager approached me in a very inappropriate and disrespectful manner. He raised his voice, repeatedly made hand gestures in a rude way in front of my children, and kept telling me “Go home.” This was very offensive, because I was not at his home – I was at a public store, with the clear intention of buying a product.
This experience made me feel humiliated in front of my family, and it left a very negative impression of the store. I strongly believe customers, especially families and foreign visitors, should be treated with respect.
I kindly request that you investigate this incident, take appropriate action regarding the manager’s conduct, and provide a formal apology. I hope that no other customer, whether Japanese or foreign, will face such treatment in the future.
