I feel like there might be more on offer in the area in the other non-winter seasons. It made for a pleasant stroll after the museum and it was nice to see that many homes in the area are part of an “open garden” scheme where you can see their gardens. Nice enough area with some interesting cafes and souvenir shops.

A short leisure alley that you can stroll along and find fallen chestnuts on the ground.

栗の木を加工したタイル？が敷き詰められた通りです。 古くなったものは取替られるようで、古いものと新しいものがコントラストとなっており見応えがありました。 冬は滑るので転倒防止用の藁のマットが引かれており栗の木の床はあまり見えませんが、雪が沿道に彩りを添えています。 周囲には北斎館や高井鴻山記念館、モンブランが有名な小布施堂などがありこの一帯は観光地としてとても見応えがあります。 駅からは少し距離がありますが、面白い街なので是非歩いて行ってみてもらえればと思います！

It's ok. Just an alley and I didn't see any chestnut trees or anything that would make it worth going out of one's way to find, but if you are visiting the Kozan Memorial Hall, then it is...
