PGM Golf Resort Okinawa — Attraction in Onna

The golf management has zero regards for local wildlife.

To cater for the needs of a few nighttime golfers, the lights are on late into the night.

This completely disturbs the local wildlife in one of the few areas of Okinawa that had remained mostly pristine, very close to local rainforest on Mount Ishikawa where many birds, insects, and bats live.

It is scandalous that it was authorised, the extent of light pollution is astounding.

If the local wildlife isn't enough, the lights are also hazardous for drivers on road 58, as they are directed horizontally towards the road and are blinding.

See a picture as seen from the nearby hills. The lights are visible 5km away and light up the whole sky.

I wonder how this could be authorised and how golfers can...

PGM Golf course is the best of best in okinawa. I really apprericiate to tall guy who can speak english at the front desk for my father of free shower without playing golf(because the resort we have stayed doesn't have big public bath). My father has the best memory for bathing without playing golf. Plz taking good care of old customers. Great course. We played Hisbiscus/Bougainvillea. Spectacular views of the ocean on certain holes. We paid visitor rates for 2 ball. Course conditions were pretty good, green ran true and fairways were well kept. Rough areas were a bit dry due to the dry season, and I guess the greenkeepers mainly watered the greens and fairways.
