International House Osaka — Attraction in Osaka

This area also includes Osaka International House Foundation. It seems to be a center for a lot of resources for foreigners who are living in Osaka or visiting. If you have trouble with your daily life in Japan, it seems they are a good resource to use for translation purposes or explaining what you need to do to remedy the situation. Although it might be worth taking a look at because they have many useful pamphlets and fliers available, it's "library" section is incredibly small and has many dated resources (language and cultural books, etc.). Few seemed current enough to be helpful. Spaces were mostly occupied by old, homeless looking, Japanese men and about half of them were sleeping. Not enough space or materials to be worthwhile for students of Japanese language. The location is also a bit inconvenient. The atmosphere is cold in this retro business hotel/convention center. Though they are quite accommodating, there is really not much they can offer that you can't find on Google.

There's a senior staff there who is Filipino and he made this sly comment about how dual citizens can only keep one nationality in the future, as if it was his business. Jealous enough?
