Everyone pls dun come here , if come pls think before go through! They will have an additional charge for a admin fee 3000 yen but is not writing when purchase the ticket. The ticket only show have an additional bath fee for 150 yen. They will just only put in front of the counter and will not point out to you also, you need to see it yourself. If you never saw then is your fault. This is what we face at the counter, when we check in the guy call 金山 nor point out for that just so us to see the iPad translate for a short introduce and illegal things, and when we check out to pay money, we saw that got a charge for almost 3000 yen. Then we communicate w the cashier and I think many of the staff not understand English, so she call another lady to assist I think she is a manager or supervisor. She show us the iPad translate repeat to proof that have an additional charges for that but nvr mention the amt, after that she said the price lit have put in front of the counter just we nvr see so is not their fault . but the moment when we check in we have ask the staff who assist us about the additional charge and he dun know English look like dun want to serve us also just push us to see the iPad again and did not mention have the price list. Then the think that make me ANGRY is the lady said is our fault said here is JAPAN so the staff nvr talk to us English is ok but he not even try to communicate to us. Then is look like our fault that cannot speak and understand Japanese then come for a JAPAN trip! The lady attitude is really got issue maybe she just dun like other country people and she got raisin for other country. The things that make me angry is just the attitude of the reception crew and the lady, if she nvr mention is our fault our wrong to not see the price list I will not angry like that. Dun tell me that she dun know English because we have ask her for this question before talk to her. The reception instruction really nvr give clearly, we have make a booking online so not sure how is the process, is it same w normal walking in booking for private room. He just point the iPad nvr talk at all. Then we nvr take the cloth and towel in front also. I even not sure is that we can take the cloth or not until the end.
I hope the management can do something about this!! To serve other...
Read moreWe visited with a family of four, a 9yo boy and a 17yo girl. This was not my first onsen but I found it the most fun and family friendly. Two watchouts: it is a little away from the usual Osaka highlights and staff does not speak English but they are very kind and patient and our translation app did the trick. At the reception desk, there is a pad with English instructions to read & agree upon, then you pay and you can change into yukatas. The place is tattoo friendly, staff at the reception desk helped me find the right patches to cover my tattoo. There are free lockers when entering, when changing to yukata and when entering the baths. You are given a small bag for your money and phone. It's ok to take pictures except in the bat area. It's ok to keep your underwear under your yukata. Once you go to the women/men separated area, you undress and can enjoy the baths. This is the onsen I experienced with the biggest variety of baths (also a hammam and a sauna). I especially liked the carbonated bath. Besides the bath area, there is a lot to do: games, gashapon, shows,... The food was really good, we did not expect this quality. I would be ok to spend a full day here! The place is clearly family oriented, many younger children and large families. We did not feel out of place with our younger boy. We did notice there were not many Westerners but we kept to ourselves so as not to disturb anyone and everyone else did the same. There was enough staff around to help us when we had a question. Finally, the rooftop is the icing on the cake, very beautiful. We were too late for the sunset, I think next time we'll be a little earlier so we can enjoy the nice colours in the sky. I highly...

It was also awkward that you could hear all the other rooms and perpetual cleaning and talking of the staff. Honestly, 5 minutes in I wanted to cancel and get a refund but Japan doesn’t do that. It was lame and not worth the price - not to mention we got a pamphlet from the adjoining hotel that the “onsen” itself had passed out, stating it was a certain price for 2 hours but the place was like “no it’s actually (more expensive) for 1.5 hours, where did you get this??” which in itself was a shitty experience. They of course didn’t honor their own pamphlet - though I would not have wanted to be in there for 2 hours anyway - other people and staff were annoying.
Would highly not recommend getting the private bath - stick to regular and you get access to the other activities inside that we didn’t even realize existed. We also had our private appointment too late to enjoy those amenities so it was entirely a waste in my opinion.
Would recommend you go earlier but not too early that there’s a bunch of kids. People still bring their young kids here later at night though which is hella annoying. When it says no one under a certain age past 7/10 PM, that only qualifies for the public bath and not the whole place.
“Garden” was pretty but all fake; good for photos but there are usually people everywhere so you have to fight with them to get any.
Yukatas were nice, but it was awkward going around barefoot and when we did get slippers there was only one size which...
