Location: Next to Bentencho station so easy access to Osaka loop line and Chuo Line for Subway and Rail. Really good location even though it's not central Osaka. The advantage is that you can still get everywhere within 10-20mins and the surrounding area is clean and safe and quiet. There is a 7-11 next door and a commercial gym (charged at 1650 per day) Negatives are there is not much to do in the evenings. But this leads to the quietness of the area and is an advantage Hotel Room:We stayed in double room and it was large. Nice comfortable bed with good pillows. The AC was modern and good and did not make noise even while we were asleep. The room is cleaned daily (tidy and new towels) with new sheets every 3 days. Shower gel, shampoo and conditioner provided. The room was also very clean. The bed has USB and chargers on either side of it. There is space to hang clothesBut the room is really nice. We always were glad to come back to a very clean and tidy place. The TV has English menus but we never watched anything.Negatives are the fridge could be colder and the bathroom sink has a tiny slope on it so you cannot place product on the sink but you have a shelf above the sink for this. Very slight negatives for what is a great place to stayHotel features:Excellent. Great laundry room with several washers & dryers. Trouser presses, vending machine and ice machine. A rooftop terrace with good views. The breakfast is free and is underwhelming, just different bread and pastries with choices of juice, soups, water and yogurt. It's acceptable and I guess it's free. The hotel lobby has little items you can take if needed, such as hair bands, toothbrushes, razor kits but something nice was that they give you bath bombs for free too. Different ones each day. Staff:Very friendly and helpful, even after midnight when I made requests they were very fast and helpful Overview:100% would stay here again. The price-to-quality ratio and the large room size make this an easy choice. Do not worry about location, I stayed it Dontonburi area before and alothgh its close to everything, its loud, dirty and feels unsafe. But the location of Porta Inn is really good and super easy to get to central areas (around 10-20mins) and easy to get to the airport (direct line) and easy to get to Universal...
Read moreWe stayed at this hotel for three nights during a trip to Osaka, and I was very pleased with the experience. The hotel is rated three stars and is located outside the city center, but it’s easily accessible thanks to the nearby train station, making it convenient for getting around and visiting Osaka’s attractions. The rooms are surprisingly spacious and well-furnished, providing everything needed for a comfortable stay. The cleanliness is excellent, with the housekeeping staff doing an impeccable job every day. A highlight is the rooftop terrace, where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the city. It’s a perfect spot to relax at the end of the day and take some nice photos of the scenery. The hotel staff is very efficient and helpful, although they don’t speak fluent English. However, they’re always ready to assist and communicate via online translators, which makes interactions easy and pleasant.Another advantage for those traveling by car is the hotel’s automated parking system, which is well-designed and easy to use. This mobile parking system allows stress-free parking and quick access to the car, ideal for those wanting to explore the surrounding areas of Osaka independently. The area offers a few dining options, with restaurants serving tasty food at very reasonable prices. Having a 7-Eleven and Family Mart nearby is also convenient, where you can make small purchases and withdraw cash from ATMs available 24/7—a true plus for travelers. In summary, this is a great choice for anyone looking for comfortable accommodation, well-connected to the city, with all essential services...
Read moreGot room 805, the same floor where the washing machines and microwaves are. So convenient. Upon checking in, I noticed that the shower curtain smelled really bad. I called front desk and they sent someone to change it. 🤔 Doesn’t anyone in housekeeping noticed that it smelled bad that a guest had to make the call to advise the problem? Shouldn’t the manager set a schedule to change out the curtains every week or so? After that, I noticed that the toilet smelled of urine. I put a note for cleaning the next day and it was a bit better but it still smelled. They probably should hose down the whole bathroom to get rid of the stench. Other than the smell problem, the room was quite nice, with a window that you can open for fresh air. Oh, the safe spontaneously started to beep without my ever touching it. I called front desk and a woman came with a screwdriver and took out the batteries. I didn’t need to use that safe but if I had, I would not be able to use it. The hotel is conveniently located next to Bentencho Station. Easy to get to the Expo venue by taking the Chuo (green) line from Bentencho Station to Yumeshima Station. It is also a direct train line from Kansai KIX Airport. There’s several convenience stores around the hotel. If you are looking for a food bonanza, I recommend you going to Hankyu Department Store at Osaka Station and checking out their Basement...
