FOREIGN TRAVELERS BEWARE!

The male host/server was extremely disrespectful to us, most likely because we were foreigners. Left my name around 6:50pm and we were told about an hour's wait time, we checked back around then and saw that there were still parties ahead of us. Waited another half hour right outside the restaurant (so it wasn't even because we didn't hear our name being called) and checked with him two more times during that time, just to make sure that we didn't miss it (due to the potential of a language barrier, as my name was the only English name on the list). Around 8:30pm, all the other parties that were waiting had cleared out and even people who queued after us were inside. Turns out upon seeing that list that he never called my name, DELIBERATELY skipping our party of 3 and letting multiple groups after my name (including other parties of 3) on the list in. Even if it was because it was written in English, we were waiting right outside and checked with him many times (and he had come outside the restaurant each time to call people in!). He also apologized only AFTER we started complaining...which was such a red flag. I can't see what other reason he had to not call us in: he was prejudiced against foreigners and didn't want to serve us.

We still ate there because we had waited so long that all the restaurants nearby were closing/closed. Food was decent and came out quickly from the kitchen but the service from that particular server just left us feeling icky and mistreated and wasted so much of our time. Would NOT recommend because of the service we received,...

Delicious, fresh sushi. Variety of new fish to try plus the standard staples. Food delivered quickly to the table. Fantastic price. Easily one of the best sushi establishments I’ve been to in Japan.

Went for lunch around 1:30 on a Friday and waited 5 minutes for a seat. There was no sushi in the conveyor belt - everything was made fresh based on your order.

Ordering was on an iPad with multiple languages available. Food was delivered quickly via train.Last order was 2:00 for a 2:20 closing.

Credit cards accepted.

Recommend the lunch specials during the weekday which offerings a great variety and amazing value for between ¥1,000 - ¥2,000. Including soup and ice cream.

Seafood tempura was practically a meal in itself with 2 shrimp, squid, octopus, eggplant, pepper and pumpkin.

Sushi roll ordered was 3 big chunky pieces.

Salmon was our favorite...

My group and I, party of 6, were very disappointed with this restaurant. We waited for 2 hours, and were shocked to see staff ignore our ticket reservation and sit other parties of the same size before us, ones that reserved after us. It was not a language barrier for at least three times throughout the 2 hour wait we showed them our ticket and were told only a few parties were in front of us. Despite this, they deliberately skipped us for what we can only assume is because we are foreigners. It felt very disrespectful, and we would rather be told up front they can’t accommodate 6 people or they don’t want to serve tourists. It would have saved my group 2 hours for more exploring in Osaka.

P.S. the Burger King downstairs was delicious, very accommodating,...

One of the best Sushi that I ate while I was in Osaka. The price might be a little expensive but for me it is very reasonable. You get what you paid. You can place your order using tablet and there is English option available. Highly recommended to try. The only thing that I don't like is they call queue card number in Japanese without any screen to let non-local easily know their status. Though you can scan QR code to check your status, you have to check almost every time when they call the new number(keep refreshing our phone😅)A little inconvenience. Fortunately, I can understand a little Japanese so not a big concern for me.

This Conveyer Belt Sushi priced their food higher than most of the larger franchised sushi restaurants but the quality goes on par with many mid-high price range restaurants within the major city. But as you can choose your own sushi instead of chef's choice or sets, it gives me more control on what I want to have. I really enjoyed the pickled cabbage gunkan roll as it was seasoned just right topped with fish flakes for a deeper flavour profile, all for 100 yen!
