I recently had the pleasure of visiting 野あそびベース フリルフスリフ in Jozankei, and I must say it was an absolutely amazing experience! If you're looking for a fun and thrilling outdoor activity, this place is a must-visit.

First and foremost, let me start by praising the owner, Ume. From the moment I arrived, Ume's warm and friendly demeanor made me feel right at home. He was incredibly attentive, ensuring that all my needs were met and providing exceptional service throughout my visit. He spoke English very well. His passion for outdoor activities was truly infectious, and he went above and beyond to make sure everyone had an incredible time.

The equipment at 野あそびベース フリルフスリフ is top-notch. The SUP outriggers are of the highest quality, ensuring a smooth and stable ride on the river. Ume takes great pride in maintaining his gear, and it truly shows. I felt safe and comfortable throughout the entire experience, allowing me to fully immerse myself in the beauty of nature surrounding Jozankei.

One of the highlights of my visit was the river tour led by Ume. Not only did he guide us down the river, but he also provided drone footage of our adventure! It was an incredible way to capture the breathtaking scenery and create lasting memories. Ume's expertise and knowledge of the area added an extra layer of excitement and made the tour all the more enjoyable.

To top it all off, Ume surprised us with marshmallows by the river. We had a cozy little bonfire, roasting marshmallows and sharing stories. It was the perfect way to unwind after an exhilarating day on the water.

Not recommended. We joined the snow view rafting experience in December, but the rafting part only constituted in total 15 minutes of the entire experience. The rest was the free time on a 20m x 20m snow-covered area next to a dam. Not much introduction of the area was given, whether in Japanese or English. Instead, the guide Shunta Kimura "Ume" flew a mini drone and took video of us, and tried hard to sell the video to us when the activity ended. They also have a surcharge for the snow boots. We felt that it was a ripoff and the reason this business could survive in Jozankei area is because there is not much to do in this...

The snow rafting was a great experience! 10/10 would recommend

We were driven down from the center to the lake where we got to paddle in the boat to a small block of land. We took some pictures, ate marshmallows and we got to take some really nice drone picture. Beware though that if u dun row, u will not be moving much so make sure to help ur fellow boat mates!

Try to reach earlier so that u have more time to don the life jackets and prepare before heading down. The drones are around 10000 yen which is little pricey but the pictures are...
