Taro-no-yu Footbath for Friendship — Attraction in Sapporo

Came to Jozankei during winter and the footbaths were basically empty the majority of the day.

This is one of the hotter public footbaths in the area and definitely a welcome after walking 3 miles around the area.

To be fair though, there's definitely small signs of wear and tear. There's a small dispenser for flower fortunes and towels next to the footbaths, but it's probably better managed during Summer and Autumn because you could see dead flies trapped in the dispensers.

Aside from that you'll find advertisements for the ice cream shop next to the shrine. A bit weird, but understandable.

Jozankei Footbath is free of charge so do soak your feet and you will feel relax and comfortable. A small towel will come in handy.

The scenes around Jozankei Onsen is awesome especially if you go there in Autumn. This is a must-visit place to indulge yourself in a beautiful & natural scene.
