白浜中央 — Attraction in Shimoda

Decent beach for swimming but you have to be careful as lifeguards are not around all the time. Didn’t see any cleaning up/shower facilities or toilets around. A lot of restrictions as well. Read the signboard before getting into the water. I think people with tattoos are not allowed in the water which if true is crazy…it’s a sea for crying...

Quite nice, with a well protected part, which was very useful with the strong waves after a typhoon and rising tide. Made the place enjoyable even for small children. Have to regret too many people littering... Not the cleanest place. And the old guys renting the parasols and showers are far...

下田市にある海水浴場です。

下田市には10ヵ所くらい海水浴場がありますが、そのひとつがこちらの『白浜中央』海水浴場です。

名前が似ていて紛らわしいのですが、近くに『白浜大浜』海水浴場もあります。こちらの『白浜中央』海水浴場は北側です。ここより南にあるのが『白浜大浜』海水浴場です。

かなり広くて海が凄く綺麗なのに感動しましたが、波が高いところが多いようで、砂浜の中央は遊泳禁止となっていました。

海水浴を楽しめるのは、海岸のはじっこの方です。

人が少ない方が良いと思う人は、こちらの海水浴場が良さそうです。行ったことがないので実態は分かりませんが、ネットの情報を見る限りだと、多少混んでいても利便性を重視する人は南にある白浜大浜海水浴場の...
