Read moreDisappointing. The house itself is not disappointing. It is much bigger inside than it looks from the outside and is well maintained. But there is very little effort made to communicate with tourists. There are no guides in different rooms either any information, all written information and labelling of artefacts is only in Japanese and there are no QR codes that you can scan to actually find out about the house, its history and the people that have lived there. There was a one page handout when you buy your 600yen ticket. I would love to have understood what I was looking at in the house and known more about past...
