The administrative head Temple of Nichiren Shu is located here. This was the home of the Ikegami family during the time of Nichiren. As he was dying he left Mt. Minobu and traveled by horse aided by his disciples in the hope of reaching Ikegami and the restorative benefits of the local hit springs. He did not survive the trip.
