Yashipan — Restaurant in Tokyo

I've been going to Yashipan for a while now. It's an excellent wee bakery with excellent standard offerings and even better limited edition breads. The breads are fairly priced and very tasty without relying on sugar. E.g. the フランクロール uses a good quality sausage and mustard instead of the typical weiner and sweet sauce. Our favourite standards are the Pain Au Chocolat, Frank Roll and Blueberry Bagel. Our favourite limited edition items have been the Zunda Bread, Ume AnPan and Fig Cheese Bread. Each of the limited items makes you wonder why no-one else is doing it, the Ume AnPan is divine, a perfect balance of sweetness, chewiness and sourness - it should be a Japanese bakery standard! The location is a bit out of the way, but it's on the way to my child's nursery so I can stop by often. All in all, this is an excellent bakery that deserves to be more popular. I hope they can expand...

本門寺近くにある、小さなパン屋さん。 本門寺に行く際、この時間ならと急遽再訪。前回午後に行ったら、もう品薄だったので、朝ならそんなことはないだろうという訳で。

2,3人も入れば一杯の店内。思った通り品数豊富だ。前回は菓子パンだったので、それ以外のお勧めをアドバイス頂き、2つ購入。

パンオレ 所謂、ロールパン。密度のあるムチっとした歯応えで、噛んでくうちに小麦と甘味を感じる。王道というか安心感というか、旨い。

クロッカン カシューナッツとアーモンドのデニッシュ。サクサクはないけど、ナッツ類のカリカリ食感が心地いいし、良いアクセント。ちょっと甘めで、ボリューミーな一品。

パンオレは、ほんのり温かかったので、思わずその場で食べた。で舞い戻って1個追加購入。翌朝でも旨かった。

1番好きなパン屋さんです！！ 20種類弱の種類がありますが、甘い系、しょっぱい系どれも美味しいです。 特にバケットは必食！！今まで食べたバゲットで1番美味しいと思いました。 全粒粉？香ばしい風味と粉の旨みが素晴らしいです。焼きたてを買うと外はパリパリモチモチで、そのまま1本食べてしまえるほど美味しいです。 翌日には皮のパリパリが落ち着きますが、硬くならず弾力を感じる食感になり美味しくいただけます。 土日の15時くらいにはパンの種類も減ってしまうので(食パン含め6、7種類だった記憶) 早めの時間に行くのがいいと思います。 あまり出会えたことが無いのですがフォカッチャもあれば絶対食べてほしいです。モッチモチのフワフワで3個は余裕で食べれてしま...
