Well Hello, Go karting in Tokyo absolutely fantastic I you have ever been go karting before and enjoyed the thrill of it and thought it doesn't get any better think again go karting through the streets of Tokyo is absolutely exhilarating driving in amongst traffic obeying the road rules driving at speed so close to the ground and the people of Tokyo love the karts and take pictures of you and wave at you like you are a celebrity and you are for an hour or so. So wave back when you are able have fun driving and most of all have the energy to have some crazy pictures taken of you while you are stopped at a red light by your guide because they are fun to be with and are knowledgeable when it comes to Tokyo. Now your tour guide on this drive helps you have fun by having the energy to get you posing for photos he takes, but you also have to have matching energy to have some real fun our guide was Kevin he was a blast gave us so much fun although they have set routes nothing prepares you for the time of your life you have when doing speeds you think are fast but being so close to the ground is like warp speed bur you are doing the speed limit 😉 so a little advice if you are planning a trip to Tokyo join a Monkey Kart tour and have the best time of your life. Thank you Monkey Kart and thank you Kevin for a great and fun time.

Absolutely the BEST thing I did in Tokyo! The most expensive but 100% worth it! Don’t listen to Reddit reviews that it’s offensive to locals or dangerous, the locals were waving and smiling as we went by. And it didn’t feel dangerous at all. My 18 year old who refuses to drive in the US did really well and wasn’t nervous at all. The monkey kart team was extremely organized and a super fun bunch. Our guide Hannah took some amazing photos that she air dropped to us before leaving which I absolutely loved. She was from Australia so it was easy to understand her. She was a great tour leader! Definitely recommend her. We went in late May when it was hot so wearing the full costume wasn’t a great idea so we just did the hats. We went during the day. At night it would be cooler for the costumes. We chose the Asakusa trail which took us right by the Tokyo Tree, the temple, and the sumo wrestling stadium. I know a lot of people choose Shibuya but really when you are driving it almost all looks the same so pick the one with the best time slot and office location to you. If you are on the fence, do it!

Absolutely amazing and worth every penny! We thought this looked cool before we booked it, but I can't describe how much fun it is. When they say you'll feel like a celebrity - they're not joking. So many happy faces and waving people. Our guide, Shin, was extremely professional, polite and friendly. He also provided very clear instructions once we were on the road to ensure we both felt and were safe amongst other traffic. His photography skills were also excellent, and he shared all of them as soon as we got back. On our particular visit, it rained very heavily halfway through, but Shin ensured we could pull over and stop under a bridge to at least remain dry until it had finished - he was very considerate. Absolutely loads of fun - just book it. PS: older reviews complained about a lack of toilet, which they now have. Also, just make sure you have the proper paperwork and specifically the relevant international driving licence - they obviously can't let you on the road if you're not legal to drive.

My wife and I karted the streets of Tokyo with MonkeyKart, and felt it was one of our favorite experiences in Japan. The monkeykart team does an amazing job of keeping the group together on the road, and the circuit took us passed some really cool parts of town. They even told us fun facts about the city and the landmarks along the way, making it probably one of the most fun ways to experience a city that we’ve ever done. I think I was grinning ear to ear the entire journey it was just that fun. We chose to book their CanAm so we could have two of us in a single vehicle, and it was an absolute blast to ride. Our guides Sho and Jerome did an amazing job showing us a good time, and making us feel safe on the road. Not to mention, they took some AMAZING photos of us on the ride, which they shared with us after we returned. We would absolutely recommend this for anyone looking for a fun way to experience Tokyo!

Honestly I had two concerns when doing this: first was would Japanese people hate that this was being done. The second was that I was a little skeptical if this place would actually deliver on the price. To my surprise neither of those were an issue! If you’re like me, I love doing touristy stuff as long as it respects the local culture. I was worried people would be annoyed by the go-karts but surprisingly everyone was laughing and waving and taking photos. The guide was also awesome and makes driving super easy. I’ve driven many times in Tokyo and it can be stressful. This situation with how the guide leads the road was not stressful in the least. He also times your drive so you stop at stop lights and have time to take photos, additionally he will take great photos and send them to you at the end of the ride. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone! This exceeded my expectations 100%

This is an absolute must... we had such fun with Ken our guide on the day. Make no mistake, all the other staff were great and made us feel welcome when we arrived at the garage. Ken ensured we had a great trip around the city streets, taking some great fun pictures as well... We drove by a good few of the iconic land marks but Shibuya is a great experience to wait and drive over... Ken made sure we stayed safe in our little group as we traversed the city and rotated the pairs so photos could be had for all... All in all, well worth the money for the fun and experience of pedestrians waving and taking pictures of us, and us of them... (must get your IDP tho) Great day Ken and staff Thank You (sorry took a while to post been ill)
