Wisteria (Fuji) Flowers 💜 We visited Kameido Tenjin Shinto Shrine ⛩️ on a weekday afternoon during the wisteria (fuji) bloom in April. I believe the main bloom was a few weeks prior but we were able to catch some of the exquisite cascading clusters of fragrant flowers. 🥰 The picturesque grounds are very pretty to walk through and despite the large amounts of people that are drawn here, it is possible to find peaceful nooks to take in the beauty. There is no entrance fee, however I recommend brining some money if you’d like to purchase omamori (small blessing pouches), ema (wooden plaques), omikuji (fortune slips) and/ or other small items. There are also food vendors lining the interior perimeter selling various local snacks and treats.

What a beautiful experience today. The wisterias are in blossom and they are so well taken care of. All kinds of stands selling food. My husband was the only Caucasian on site when we were there. Not far from it , there was a restaurant with wisteria blossoms in front of it and a line of guests waiting.
