Nanzoin Temple — Attraction in Tokyo

I'm always fascinated by big Buddha . That's why whenever I have time, I travel alone and put it on top of my list. Getting here was easy. Though I have to admit that I lost twice before I get there. When I rode a train from JR hakata, I thought i will exactly drop off to Kidza mae station, but then, from the last stop I should transfer again. So instead of transferring since I didn't know that I have to transfer I returned back to the nearest station then rode a wrong train again. It was on the third train that I figured out the correct route. Anyhow, I'm glad that even if I'm lost, I stll find ways. We live nearby and thus visit this temple often. It's beautiful during cherry blossom. It's not in the city center so it's not crowded at all. This is not a temple for tourista, by that I mean there is not much to do here unlike Asakusa or Meiji Ginju.

P.S- One lady has mistaken this temple with another temple with the huge Buddha in Fukuoka. This is not that place. Don't come here expecting...

Steep slopes although the trees were beautiful and they were kind enough to lend us two wheelchairs for the two mothers for free!There is a giant reclining Buddha at the top of the trail.you can either walk up the steps or goby the lift they have at the corner...
