TOYAMA STATION — Attraction in Toyama

Beautiful station with the Shinkansen, JR local trains, Hida Express and local street car all in one spot. Has food venues but not as many like Osaka, Nagoya or Tokyo. The waiting areas are clean and modern. There are plenty of lockers, vending machines, tourist information department, help desk, 7 Eleven, and a few cafes. A JR station stop on the Hokuriku shinkansen line, and a great jumping off point to many excellent local train routes - including Takayama Line for Takayama and connection to Shirakawa, or Toyama Chiho Railway to Tateyama and enroute to Kurobe Alpine Route including Murodo, Kurobe Dam, etc. Gentetsu Toyama local train station is right next door.
