Matsumi Park — Attraction in Tsukuba

Beautiful and peaceful city park near University of Tsukuba campus/med center. There are a lot of wonderful features for its size.

The observation tower (¥100) is not something you get in your typical city park; it's cinder block construction, but it affords nice views or provides some solitude (depending on when you go). It's open 0900-1700 (last ticket 1645). Your choice of elevator or stairs!

Great park in downtown tsukuba. Very close to expo science museum. Lots of ducks and koi fish. Peaceful waterfall and many benches around the water. There is a tower, you can purchase tickets to ride an elevator to top. Also can purchase koi and duck food at same place as elevator tickets. Indoor seating area. This park is nice for a walk with family. It has a lovely pond in the middle and the park is connected to the University so one can walk around and enjoy. I deducted one point because the pathways are a lil rough and bumpy, not suitable for a baby stroller. Would recommend people with infants to carry them in a baby carrier , if...
