Tsuyama Castle — Attraction in Tsuyama

Kakuzan Park is on the ruins of an ancient castle, Tsuyama Castle, which was built about 400 years ago. The castle’s approximately 10 m tall stone wall remains today, greeting visitors with a majestic view of overlapping stones even from a distance. The ruin has been selected as one of Japan’s top 100 castles and has earned a spot as one of Japan’s top 100 cherry blossom sites. The Tsuyama Cherry Blossom Festival held every year in early to mid April gives visitors the chance to experience the park’s 1,000 or so cherry trees. After sunset, looking down from atop the stone wall at the cherry trees illuminated below, visitors will be treated to an unimaginably beautiful view. One of the best destination in Okayama Perfecture. This castle is best known for it’s beautiful cherry blossom trees. But in autumn it’s also offer a stunning red mapple and yellow ginko trees.

Perfect location for picnic, enjoy your time with family or friends. Also it’s up in the mountain, so you will also have a litle exercises.

From the top of the castle, you can see the Tsuyama city and feels a wind breeze.

The accomodation to get in this place is also very easy, you can just use Tsuyama train from Okayama Station, followed by a journey on foot about 15minutes to get in the entrance locket.

If there were still castle tower, it would be more amazing castle but that was decomposed because of historical background. Even so, this fort looks amazing and also looks like maze ;) I guess some cosplayer will love here;P I forgot to take photo...

I haven’t seen Sakura here that I decided to estimate 4 stars . The castle is surrounded by tons of Sakura trees that I’m sure here will become super beautiful place in Spring. I look forward to visiting...
