This beach is definitely a good one for anybody who enjoys swimming, not just watering the skin until the chin line. The buoy line is pretty far. But big minus is that management of the beach don't put the jellyfish net. I was there on 2 August and got 3 small 'kisses' that disappeared the next day and one big 'farewell french kiss' that left 2 red lines all over my elbow bend. Seсond - the beach is kinda dirty, a lot of plactic staff is seen in the wate, probably brought by the current, not particular was thrown away by visitors, but anyway it's not that pleasant to swim if there so many trash...

The beach itself isn’t too bad, but the sea is dirty and the sand can be quite uncomfortable.
Because the beach is located inside Wakayama Bay, you’ll encounter floating debris like pieces of books, tissues, and occasionally even nappies in the water.
The sand on the beach is not purely sand; it’s a mix of rocky sand and sea shells. Depending on how recently the shells broke, some can be sharp and cause tiny cuts on your feet.
There’s also a faint smell of fish coming from the sea. Since it’s a bay, there’s minimal water circulation, which contributes to the stagnant smell.
Additionally, the beach is situated near the estuary of a river. This river carries runoff from rainwater drains and even wastewater from households, including washing machine discharge.
Overall, it’s not the greatest spot, but it’s the only beach option...
