市右衛門 — Restaurant in Wakayama

I asked my host for dinner recommendations, and she pointed me towards this izakaya for its hospitality and quality of ingredients.

Being the indecisive person that i am, i let the chef decide the dishes for me (omakase), and im glad i did.

Every dish was better than the next. The chef even exclaimed the deliciousness with each dish, and it ended on the final dish with Flying Delicious 🤣

The rest of the staff were also just as attentive, accommodating me throughout the dinner.

I'll come back when i have the chance again. Until then, this is the 2nd singaporean visitor signing off! 🇸🇬

P.S. I thought the backdoor was the entrance and was puzzled as to why it...

We stumbled upon this wonderful place, but so happy that we did. It was the meal of a lifetime - Michelin level food but very chill place, the best mix. We asked the chef to help us put a menu together and he served us a top notch meal. Pleeeease visit this place, but make sure to reserve a table and make sure those seats are right by the kitchen.

this was one of the most original Japanese experiences we had. Amazing food for a reasonable price (e.g. 1800 yen for a tuna sashimi bowl, or 1800 yen for a clam soup). the food was amazing, and the experience was great. if you don't speak Japanese bring a phone with working Google translate (ideally Google lens). but don't...
