This is a nice little city park in a residential neighbourhood. It's a bit of a walk from the station (1.5km ish ). We were there in November and caught some nice late autumn foilage.

I think it's a great place to enjoy a coffee or lunch which can be picked up at a near by convenience store.

To get here just walk on the main street from the station and it's one turn. There's plenty of maps along the street to...

It is a small Japanese garden with a pond. The garden is pretty far from Yamagata station but you could walk. I guess the beginning of November is the best time to visit. They have some maple trees and it was so beautiful when I went there. I saw lovely colors...

こじんまりとした 街なかの公園です ホント街なか。 天気も良くとても鮮やか。 秋保も凄く良かったし ここもまたとても綺麗です 秋の東北を感じられる ひとときになりました。
