Saw BabyMetal live. Initially very disorganized especially for foreigners. All instructions were given in Japanese no translations. I thought this was odd since probably over half were from other countries. We were herded like cattle into groups and made to go into groups after waiting in long lines for almost an hour so I had to wait longer than when I was in line initially. Then taken up stairs then down with a bad knee. There was one English speaking staff member that helped me with obtaining my ticket at will call. Arigato! Difficulty locating my seat even asked what the seat was on the ticket,I was told where to go by 4 different staff with pointing instead of calling someone to help. I ended up running all over the building and two flights of stairs twice, I'm 59 years old. After purchasing merch the first time we had to go outside and all the way around the building to the front to get in line. I went back after the concert to get another shirt and they had the main lobby roped off already. I needed to get to the locker to get my coat and asked to please let me back into the main area because it was cold out and I didn't want to walk all the way around the building again. This time they radioed some one and they escorted me to my locker after I pleaded with them. It was a very stressful event and I almost missed the beginning of the show. Why was the merch at the back of the building? Also, Since all the ticket lottery winners were in certain areas we should have been escorted to our seats. No special help or assistance was provided. We came on a long, expensive trip just to see them. I was very disappointed with the way things were handled and the lack of assistance and...
Read moreA good concert venue with good transport connections and within a handy food and shopping area. The arena itself is big, neat and clean. Security staffs are friendly (believe me, i have been to other concerts where the securities are scary). I went there to watch 2 nights of concert. First night, the seat is on the arena (note, in this venue, the arena is actually not the ground floor level, it is the lower hillside) Viewing is good from here. Sound is ok, not the best. It took me ten minutes to leave the concert. Second night, I sat at the mountain top. That is the last row of the concert hall! The performer is an ant as expected. However, you get to see the whole stage performance. It is far but I think ok. It took me 20 mins to leave the concert. The walk from Shin Yokohama station to the arena is about 5mins, you can walk via the footbridge directly to the arena. This is good cover on rainy days. If you are waiting around for the concert to start, you can also use the footbridge and walk towards Prince Pepe for food and window shopping. If you come here by subway and not using the IC Card, my suggestion is to buy the return ticket when you arrive before the concert starts, this will save you from long queues after the...
