We wanted to stay near Shin-Yokohama station because - (1) we had the JR Pass & can use the Shinkansen to go to Tokyo in 20 mins and (2) hotel rates are costlier in Tokyo. We were happy we made the right choice. We got a good deal on Agoda.||The room size was reasonable (considering Tokyo standards), but was good enough for 2 people. The beds were comfortable & I couldn't complain anything about the stay. All the usual amenities were provided. There's a Natural Lawson nearby (we're lacto vegetarians) & that had decent vegan / vegetarian options.||The station was hardly 10 minutes by walk. We got confused during our first night (also our first trip to Japan). Here's what we did - (a) exit the JR station, take the elevated walkway (b) turn to the left of that walkway, don't turn to the right where there's that elevated roundabout (c) go to the end of that elevated walkway & get down (d) take the 2nd left once you get down & you'll get to the hotel.||This property doesn't have a coin operated laundry. Though there's one within 10 minutes walk. Good that we didn't stay in Tokyo. If you've got the JR pass & don't mind the 20 min Shinkansen ride to Tokyo, then go ahead &...
ย ย ย Read moreWe stayed for one night only since we had to catch the Shinkansen from Shin-Yokohama station early the next morning. ||The room was a normal size of Japanese standards. Aircondition worked great which was necessary since it was in the summer we stayed. ||I have an allergy for mold, and therefore I can have trouble staying at some hotels, but this hotel was very clean and showed no signs of mold any places, so I could sleep there with ease!||The location was why we chose this hotel, if you're going to get the shinkansen early in the morning this is a great place to stay! It only takes around 10 minutes to go to Shin-Yokohama station where you can get on the shinkansen. The area isn't anything special, but if you're looking for a place to sleep before heading to another city it's a great spot!||The staff was also very friendly and helpful. We were worried about a typhoon nearing our next destination and they helped us figuring out on Japanese websites how the typhoon was moving. However if you wish to ask the staff for anything apart from check-in related topics, it can be difficult if you don't know basic Japanese, since the staff's english skills were a...
ย ย ย Read moreStayed here for one night for a business visit nearby. What I really appreciated was its peaceful atmosphere. This was due to the main function of this hotel - wedding, yet non-wedding guests were also treated as welcome additions to celebrate someone's big day. Sophisticated, modern design throughout the building. Compared with other hotels in Japan, the room was slightly bigger than usual, and the quality of the bed was excellent. The bathroom was a bit smaller, but this was compensated by the careful selection of toiletries. Good location, a few minutes walk to the Shin-Yokohama Station. Breakfast was...
