いいね‼️(*´・ω-)b 観音埼は、三浦半島の東端に位置し、対岸の房総半島とともに東京湾の入口を形作っております。 眼前の浦賀水道は、わずか3,5キロメートルの狭水道で、世界でも有数の船舶の輻輳する、海上交通路の大動脈です。 バスの終点、観音埼から海岸沿いに灯台への道は、自然の原生林のトンネルで、登りつめると、視界が開け、 東京湾と太平洋が飛び込んできます。そこに、白亜の八角形の灯台がそびえ、 眼下の浦賀水道航路には、灯台を指針にして東京湾に出入りする、あらゆる種類の船を見ることができます。 観音埼灯台は西洋文化の魁です。開国の時一番最初に建設された灯台です。当時洋式灯台建設の技術がないので、 フランスと英国に灯台建設の技術とレンズや機械の購入を依頼しましたが徳川幕府の崩壊により明治政府がこの仕事を引き継ぎ、 横須賀製鉄所(造船所)御雇のフランス人首長フランソワ・レオン・ヴェルニーの手によって、 明治2年1月1日、我が国最初の洋式灯台として誕生しました。当時の建物は、レンガ造りの四角い洋館建てで、 屋上に灯塔を設けたフランス風の優雅なものでした。使用されたレンガは、六万四千六百枚、ヴェルニーの伝授で 横須賀製鉄所で焼き上げられました。しかし、大正11年の地震で倒壊し、翌12年コンクリート造りの灯台に生まれ変わりました。 同年9月1日の関東大震災で被災し再度大正14年6月1日建て替えられました。 これが現在の灯台で三代日に当たります。灯台の光りは77,000力ンデラで19海里(約35km)とどきます。

The light house here itself is not what build long time ago. It was rebuild while after. The tower surface is white it’s beautiful!! You can get up to the top bed the tower with 200 yen!!
